Popdose.com Welcomes Holmes & Dunphy's Platters That Matter Podcast On January 8

RED BANK, NJ, December 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joining the growing ranks of Popdose.com's multimedia arsenal, Staff Writers Chris Holmes and Dw Dunphy present the all-new Popdose podcast Platters That Matter on January 8, 2013. The latest addition to Popdose's rotating offerings, which include The Matt 'N Jeff Radio Hour and Songs Of Freedom, Platters That Matter is devoted to celebrating and dissecting classic albums with Popdose's recognized irreverence and devotion alike. On a monthly basis writers Chris Holmes (Popdose, The Man With The Gray Flannel Suit, and Cracked.com) and Dw Dunphy (Popdose, ThePengunRocks.com, New Jersey Stage) select an album that has withstood the test of time but may not be considered a "Top Ten" classic in the traditional sense and give the recording its due. Holmes and Dunphy provide a 'Music Appreciation Society' for the podcast generation, expressing why such albums deserve attention while being equally forthcoming about shortcomings and flaws. The analysis is fair, honest, and never boring. The kickoff podcast, which debuts on both Popdose.com and iTunes on January 8, 2013, takes a deep dive into the 1978 entry from James Gang/Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, But Seriously, Folks... In classic Popdose fashion, there will be admiration and criticism, clips and jokes, adding up to nearly an hour of podcast entertainment. 2013 marks Popdose.com's fifth anniversary and its staff promises a huge celebration throughout the year. Platters That Matter becomes a vital part of the anniversary lineup in January 2013. Radioshow With Dw Dunphy Celebrates Fourth Year On The Penguin Rocks

RED BANK, NJ, December 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Celebrating four years with Internet radio station The Penguin Rocks (thepenguinrocks.com) Radioshow With Dw Dunphy continues on the same steady path it set from the start -- to provide the classic, free-format rock radio show as it once was. Dunphy's sometimes manic blend of old and new music, with an emphasis on rock but commonly cutting across multiple genres, has attracted a devoted audience throughout its time online. Dunphy believes the reason is simple. People want to hear the new music, the deep cuts, and occasionally be sidetracked by a classic from out of left field. To that end, Radioshow With Dw Dunphy produced under the auspices of entertainment company Introverse Music has recently played the odd combinations of metal, jazz, big band, and long-form prog rock hand-in-hand with hits from the '60s, '70s, and beyond. The goal, as Dunphy puts it, is to recreate the place where "music is music, without restrictions or definitions." Year number four may be Dunphy's most ambitious yet for Radioshow With Dw Dunphy as well as for The Penguin Rocks. Featuring one of the highest-quality audio feeds for an Internet radio outlet currently available, the ability to produce and present satellite-quality features, broadcast through Internet-connected vehicles and smartphones, breaks the boundary between Internet and radio. Having long believed Radioshow captured the spirit of what real broadcasts should still be like, Dunphy now finds his program to be a viable competitor with the traditional markets. He said that such competition can only produce better, more varied radio and challenges the establishment to "bring it on." Radioshow With Dw Dunphy airs on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM EST and rebroadcasts on Saturdays at 9:00 AM and PM EST. About The Penguin Rocks The Penguin Rocks is an Internet radio source created and hosted by author Gary Wien, and is based out of central New Jersey where it broadcasts 24/7. Wien's mission statement for The Penguin Rocks is to remind audiences that rock is still alive and thriving in the 21st Century. His program, Beyond The Palace, focuses on the rich history of New Jersey music with the Asbury Park music scene being a focal point. Also found on The Penguin Rocks are shows Rock N Roll Gas Station hosted by Jersey Beat scribe Jim Testa; Lazlo's Blow Up Radio; and a host of new and exciting programs that cover the rock scene from the U.S. to the U.K. The Penguin Rocks can be found at: http://www.thepenguinrocks.com
